Business Process Design aims to clearify business processes and to make organisations function as good as possible. To realise this it's important that an organisation dares to take an honest look at itself and opens up for changes from which it will benefit. A business process design can be carried out for existing companies, but also for existing companies. Growth, changes, merges, all can be a reason to take a good look at what's going on in your organisation.

Prerequisites of Process Design
Intermedio advises to start with an information architecture. Should the information architecture already be present, or not needed, than it´s also possible to just carry out the business process redesign. When the business processes are formalized it´s possible to start working on the system design.
